About Our Program

The Fishers Dance Team (FDT) is a competitive and performance based high school dance team that represents
Fishers High School. The FDT competes as part of the Indiana High School Dance
Team Association (IHSDTA) at various invitational competitions around the state of Indiana, with the goal
of attending regionals to qualify for the state championship competition. The FDT
also performs at various school functions and sporting events (including home football and basketball
games) to promote school spirit. The Fishers Dance Team performs and competes in a variety of dance
styles. The Fishers Dance Team
program is built to promote physical and mental growth as dancers and athletes, while teaching lifelong
skills of commitment, teamwork, respect, and responsibility to prepare our dancers for life beyond our
team.

Team Mission Statement:
As the Fishers Dance Team, our mission is to show pride in our team, school, and community by inspiring
others and promoting school spirit through the power of dance. As Fishers Dance Team members, we
will strive to foster a team culture built on positivity, unity, dedication, responsibility, and respect. As a
team, we will work to push and support each other to grow as dancers and leaders in our school and
community and above all recognize that the team is not built by one person alone but by the group as a
whole.
